If you have never received a gift in your life, then perhaps this is more important. There's a certain magic in intentions, after all. I am regularly borrowing someone from your Household, without even properly knowing you. There's clearly an imbalance we have to fix.

It's easy to feel isolated when you're alone. That might be what their goal is. Helping us avoid isolation.

I'm an alchemist by hobby and trade back in my London. One of my first projects when I arrived was to enchant a sword for a friend. Blood magic as it functions here isn't that different from what I know, so another project can't hurt.

I think the Pthumerians are natural meddlers who are at best trying to make people's second chance lives a teensy bit better, even if it may not always ... work out that way. So it does seem as if that theory would be sound.

A trebuchet is still impressive, so don't discount yourself. Many people don't have the patience for the physics.

Lately, I've been practicing on amulets and small tokens. It's an idea I picked up from one of my students-- it's a specialty of her family.
